Hoffenheim- Gladbach: Hoffenheim -0.5 @ 1.95
Both team in mid table right now and Hoffenheim playing a disappointing season so far. But still this team has some potential. Salihovic and Gustavo are out with suspension which i think might even be a plus for them as the team has to regroup a bit.
Gladbach has some good success lately at home, but away they are struggling getting only one point from last 4 games at last place Berlin.
you never know right now where you are with this team as they have very weak performances like last week (although they won) and solid performances like in the loss the week before at Mainz. Results not even match the performances...in the end this is mainly a fade of Gladbachs away weakness.
Gladbach doesnt need this game as their goal is staying in the league and with the recent wins at home they are relatively save right now.
Hoffenheim desperately try to get back in shape and a home game like today might be the right thing.

seems like the Winter takes forever in Hamburg.
I am very scary of the Munich pick. Ribery will not play and they are missing with Van Buyten their best defender. Probably 19 year old Contento will play left back and Badstuber substitutes VB. Van Buyten will also be missed up front as he is very dangerous and always good for a goal.As shown against Florenz they had big problems when VB left injured.
On the other side there is Nürnberg who are fighting to stay in the league and with Breno and Ottl they have to players who are going back to Bayern after the Season is over. So, they will be very motivated to show Van Gaal that they belong in the first team. Another fact is that Nürnberg played under new Coach very good football, but were always very unlucky. And with Bunjaku they have a scorer who is red hot.
Another thing that scares me is that everybody in germany is talking about Bayern taking over first place after this weekend, because they have an easy task with Nürnberg and everybody is ecpecting Leverkusen to lose or draw against Bremen. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Bayern lose today or don't get more than a draw and i see Leverkusen winning tomorrow at Bremen.
This is just a gut feeling and of course i hope you win them all. I like a lot of picks you made, especially Hamburg (by the Way Ruud VNR is not playing at all today, they just anounced it on radio, he is injured).And i also want to play Bayern, but perhaps i change my mind. This pick scares me the most today.

have to admit that my Hamburg pick was completely wrong. i was in stadium and couldnt react to Nistelrooy being injured...you could see almost after 10 min that this game would be an under. almost no scoring chances for any of the teams. not sure why that was with Hamburg, but it looked to me that the absence of JArolim in midfield was a big problem. they could manage to play the first pass in transition from defense to offense and that s what normally Jarolim does...maybe something to be aware of for next weeks Euro-league re-match at PSV where Jarolim is suspended again.
Bayern should have won so the pick was basically right, but that s how things go..also interesting and very strange..i had the grand total of 14 and couldnt reach it although there were already 11 goals in 2 matches..one of those days

this is almost like a final in fight for relegation. both teams are struggling big time and are simply not good. If Freiburg wins it would make it only a 3 horse race anymore between Berlin,Hannover and Nürnberg, if Berlin wins it would drag doen Freiburg in deep trouble and basically 4 teams at the bottom very close together... everything can happen here, but what i see is a low scoring game. both teams mainly struggle on offense.
Freiburg in last 7 winless games scored only twice.even worse they havent scored in last 5 home games leading to 4 of 5 home games ending on 1 or 0 total goals.

Yes, Hamburg not winning was a big blow for me. Had them ml in a lot of parlays. What hurts more is that all my parlays would have cashed if Hamburg had won yesterday. Hamburg is for me a big disappointment this season.I thought after the last win they start to roll and then they played bad against Eindhoven and Frankfurt at home. Hamburg has together with Bayern Munich by far the best squad in the league and they will be probably today 8 points behind Schalke. And Schalke is having financial problems and is playing a bunch of unknown young players. Bremen playing better lately but they are facing an in-form Leverkusen here which is unbeaten whole season.
Leverkusen will miss Hypiyä on defense, but they should be able to compensate for that.
For me a much bigger factor is that the game means much more for Leverkusen. Bremen is not doing to well in league and like last season is putting much more efford in euro-league and cup,where they are doing well. this match is sandwiched by the 2 euro league games agains Twente, where Bremen lost on thursday 0-1..with the upcoming second leg match next thursday i think there will be much more focus on the upcoming game than today s match.
For Leverkusen this presens a great opportunity to pull away from Bayern again after München only got a draw yesterday. especially at a line of +0.25 i dont see Leverkusen loosing here with even a chance of an away win.
